the second installment of the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of NEUBEATS is already on it's way. FYI, I missed the first installment which featured the fuckin' awesome DJ duo known as DESIGNER DRUGS; due to matters that shall not be discussed (mainly work. haha). and from what i saw in photos and heard from the attendees, twas a mind blowing nite. anyways... on with the new.
yes. the second installment of the party will be featuring Mr Dylan Eiland or most commonly known as LE CASTLE VANIA. this Atlanta native has been touring around the world gaining notoriety with his riotous sets and production skills, which in time, made him a household name in the dirty and distorted, indie-electro scene.
LE CASTLE VANIA has spun records along side some of today’s hottest acts, such as Justice, MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, Busy P, Uffie & Feadz, Kavinsky, Soulwax, Surkin, Para One, The Presets, Steve Aoki and Crystal Castles. his signature sound blends grinding disco punk with strong electronic beats and catchy synth leads, resulting in banging electro music that is dark and dirty but somehow equally uplifting and dancey.

hope u guys had a wonderful weekend. well i certainly had a blast at the Heineken Green Room 4 with AGRIKULTURE, GXXX, LAP SAP and of course the legendary, 2MANYDJs aka Soulwax. let me run through the nite a bit with you guys.
AGRIKULTURE started the nite off with an eccentric mixture of electro, clash and teeth grinding beats to get us jumpin' and pumpin'. they even pulled a remix of the track WARP with our girl ARABYRD rhymin' to it. just friggin' awesome.
next up was mr GXXX aka Goldfish did an spell binding live performance featuring a drummer (anyone know who he was?!). this was certainly a memorable highlight of the show.
then came the legends. 2ManyDJs intro was amazing, as you can see from the video. they presented us with crazy mad cut ups and brain stammering loops. dropped tracks from MGMT, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Justice, Crookers, Proxy, Major Lazer, Daft Punk, Felix The House Cat, Deadmau5 and many many more.
our boys, LAP SAP, concluded the nite with heart pumpin' tracks that made you wish that they wouldn't stop playing. haha.
it's the boys at DUKES of CASIO again and this time around they are bringin' the house down with the likes of STORMTROOPERS and DJ JONY!
LICKMYDUTCH presents you with a collection of nosebleeding dirty dutch, mind boggling electroclash, eccentric baltimore, essential nu rave and moshing indie dance. these guys are gonna tear the house down with new sounds and their amazing performance.
so, get yourself and your crazy party animal friends down to Cloth & Clef this 29th Jan to witness these absurdly insane dudes take on the decks. and don't forget to go give these bros some crazy love at the links below.

MUTANT MAYHEM consists of four crazy guys, Harith Hisham aka H3, Mathias Rapp aka VNRP (also a freakin' talented designer. check out his tumblr.), Connor Gettel aka MOONSHARK and Hackeem Elektrischer aka uuummm, Hackeem Elektrischer. these guys have bangin' em decks for quite awhile now and they are planning to stay and make the mark in our friggin' industry. we don't know much from them yet, but we are surely keeping our eyes out for these thrashers and hopefully we get to do a full feature with them, very soon. haha.

this chap has been around the Sydney club scene for quite awhile now. well he's been hittin' raves since he was 16; so u get the idea. what does he spin u ask? he doesn't believes in genres, so to put in simple terms, he spins pure FRESHNESS. ain't no mentos fresher than him babe. haha. as a producer, TOM PIPER is so diverse that he has pulled out massive collaborations with a lot of big names in the industry like Tommy Trash, Micky Slim, Snob Scrilla, Marvin Priest, Nom De Strip, Stupid Fresh, Nick Correlli (MYNC Project), Destroy Disco, Jono Fernandez, Daniel Farley. Alex Schmitz, Pablo Calamari, Wax Motif. Ryan Riback, Blaze Tripp and much much more. and to add to his credentials, the fella has received massive kudos from big acts like Steve Aoki, Kissy Sell OUt, Lee Mortimer, Malente, Rockid and Drop The Lime, just to name a few.
i had the chance to meet up with him last month back, when he playing at some random gig in KL. an awesomely friendly guy in person, but when he gets behind the decks, he will surely make you git yo ass of that chair and BOUNCE!
me and mr alel aka menteri fasola managed to capture a few vids of this maestro doing his thangs. the gig was apparently a student night called SyiokShock and was most probably organized by the youth publication called Malaysian Today. let's let the vids do the talkin then, shall we?
