WHAT IS UP OBSESSIONERS & ELECTRO FREEKS!as you all might notice, the electro pop syndrome has gotten the best of our fellow americans. a lot of supa kool electro pop bands are emerging from the great land known as the USA and this is one band not to be neglected.
HYPER CRUSH is a DOO-HOP band hailing from Los Angeles, California. Consisting of three members, Donny “Ponyboy” Fontaine (who once won a trip to Reno Nevada in a James Dean look alike contest), mr tune maestro slash producer slash dj extraordinaire; Preston “Cutty” Moronie, and not to forget the ever so voluptuous ms Holly “Baby” Valentine; the band started off their musical journey in 2006, released their debut album The Arcade in 2008 going on to sign under Universal Motown in late 2009.
In a nut shell, these guys are doo-hop sound freeks making references to Nintendo, technicolor, hyper color, and Genesis in their tracks. They even used sounds from the game Duck Hunt to begin the song "The Arcade" and music from The Legend of Zelda to end it.So with all that being said, do give them a lot of love at these respective sites.
